I AM FOOD

I recently had a baby.

Now, this extraordinary, marvelous upheaval is, in itself, a whole new blog and one I would be very tempted to start if I thought I had a spare and non-sleep-deprived and regular 10 minutes to maintain this blog, let alone it. So for now, we will stick to the topic at hand. Sort of.

I report that this event has allowed my relationship with food to reach a new, mystical, transcendental level. Let me explain.

Firstly, when Gastro Boy was born, I felt like food. I have sliced and diced many hapless vegetables in my time, but in the operating theatre the tables had turned, and it was I who got sliced and diced. Too bad veggies don't get the option of a spinal tap.

Then, he started feeding. And I became food...

I am food.*
